THE CHALLENGE
CONTEXT
Company X experienced an increase in churned employees. By their definition, a churned employee quit within their first 6 months.
ANALYSIS
The Human Resources team investigated the problem and observed that onboarding practices were not uniform across the business.
At Company X, hiring managers are responsible for onboarding new employees. After conducting a BoBWoW, it was determined that a few functions managed onboarding well, while others more or less threw new hires to the wolves pretty quickly.
THE SOLUTION
ANNUAL eLEARNING COMPLIANCE COURSE
It was important for Company X to provide Hiring Managers with the autonomy to manage their own onboarding programs but with some sturdy guidelines.
As a result of the BoBWoW analysis, 5 best practices were identified from the organizations Best of the Best onboarders.
To close gaps identified during the analysis, an eLearning course was deployed to all Hiring Managers and will be a part of the annual line-up of compliance trainings.
