THE CHALLENGE

CONTEXT

Company X experienced an increase in churned employees. By their definition, a churned employee quit within their first 6 months. 

ANALYSIS 

The Human Resources team investigated the problem and observed that onboarding practices were not uniform across the business. 

​At Company X, hiring managers are responsible for onboarding new employees. After conducting a BoBWoW, it was determined that a few functions managed onboarding well, while others more or less threw new hires to the wolves pretty quickly. 


THE SOLUTION

ANNUAL eLEARNING COMPLIANCE COURSE

It was important for Company X to provide Hiring Managers with the autonomy to manage their own onboarding programs but with some sturdy guidelines. 

​As a result of the BoBWoW analysis, 5 best practices were identified from the organizations Best of the Best onboarders. 

​To close gaps identified during the analysis, an eLearning course was deployed to all Hiring Managers and will be a part of the annual line-up of compliance trainings.
