As non-English speakers get further into their language studies in preparation for academic or business careers in American markets, instructors need to build a bridge into critical thinking and data analysis in the target language.
In teaching to this standard, I designed this comprehensive project which required learners to identify a research question, form a proposal, build a survey, analyze responses, and present their findings using quantitative language.
The guide below walks learners through the principles of survey design, implementation, and analysis. It will illustrate how to create and examine their own data for research projects and then encourage learners to present the results in a presentation format.
