MONTHLY NEWSLETTER CAMPAIGN BEGINNING JANUARY 2019

SALES AND TRAINING DEPARTMENTS AT A FORTUNE 500 FRANCHISE ORGANIZATION, SENIOR STAFF

SOLUTION

TRAINING CAN'T SOLVE EVERY CHALLENGE. THIS IS AN EXAMPLE OF ANOTHER SOLUTION TO COMMUNICATION GAPS

THE
oppy

(OPPORTUNITY)

CONTEXT

In 2019, a pulse survey was conducted at a Fortune 500 franchise organization with roughly 500 employees. Nearly half of the employees are in the Field Sales and Training organizations.

Voice of the employee survey revealed poor ratings in organizational communication.

PAIN POINT

Field teams felt that internal (HQ-based) changes were not being communicated clearly to the field, creating a lag in buy-in and alignment with changes.

THE SOLUTION

A MONTHLY NEWSLETTER

A monthly newsletter would

  1. introduce changes

  2. explain the why behind changes

  3. support team members through the change curve

  4. communicate the deets and timeframes

TOOLS

  • Microsoft Publisher

  • Microsoft Forms

  • Canva

THE RESULTS

REACTION

Communications metrics are a little out of my scope, so I can provide anecdotal reactions here. Overall, there were positive responses to the newsletters and VOE surveys. Sales and Training team members also offered ideas and suggestions, which demonstrates positive engagement.

RESULTS

Team members were notified with more clarity and consistency of HQ happenings.

what did it look like?
